Dear Sally-Anne,

Thankyou for the best birthday party I have ever had in my whole 50 years!!
We laughed all weekend.  We’ve had lots of friends contact us to thank us for a fantastic night.  What a hoot!!
My family believe they were leading all the way and should have won.  I’ve told them it was their fault for not keeping all those treasures from the piety stall we had as children.  Marita Smith and Marita Stephens on the winning table brought along everything religious they could lay their hands on. The big statue of Mary was given to Mrs Stephens by the nuns at Bethlehem hospital when she worked as a nurse and left to get married in the 1940s.
We invited over 100 people and it was such fun, Sister Sal is like three of the scariest nuns from school, rolled into one.
We made $1,730.00, so the Josephites get some dosh towards the class rooms.
